Speaking of DreamWeaver

Mine is misbehaving today.  Does anybody know if DW caches files somewhere.  I'm getting strange, mutilated versions of my files and I can not see where they are coming from?  Using Notepad and Beyond Compare, I've looked at the source files in the local directory, the testing directory and the remote directory.  They are all correct and complete and match each other.  But when I open a file in DW, I get a truncated file missing 50% or more of the code, to keep it truly incomprehensible to me, the missing code is from the middle of the templates not the beginning or end.  This is occurring in every file that I have checked.

I've refreshed and recreated the affected site I have also rebooted.  Can anybody suggest what may be happening?
