site. I was working on its security and some other stuff and let me tell you,
never again. This guy had me on the phone while talking so low I had to stuff a
cell phone ear bud so far in my ear I got an infection. He had me doing all the
work remotely using PCAnywhere and when things didn't go exactly the way he
wanted, decided not to pay me.
I invoiced him daily (as per his request) while trying to find out why his video
download kept breaking and trying alternatives (I've got a good idea now,
but....). He then said that he'd only pay me 2 hours for the 4.5 hours of work
to integrate an auto-zip into his system. It had to zip pics if the zip didn't
exist, had to add the info to the DB if it didn't exist and had to integrate
into his system with a funky hidden url system which caused problems.
Finally, after all the work and it being 5 minutes to Shabbos, I told him I had
to go (2.5 hours into the no pay time) and he was not happy. Next I hear he's
gotten someone else to finish it (probably using the exact instructions I gave
him on what had to be done) and decided to pay only 2 hours of the 10 invoiced
hours (over 2 weeks).
I told him I'd 'note' it and he offered me 3 hours of pay with no note. Ha. I'd
rather be paid nothing and let the world watch out for this cheat than accept
the money (which I'll probably never see).
That being said, if anyone gets a call from some guy named maxey who talks about
his BBS days and wants work done on his adult sites, get paid in advanced.
Remember boys and girls, only work for reputable pornographers. :)
