My bad experience is not w/ a porn site, but I still have an outstanding
balance of ~$10,000 from a few years back. The lawyers took care of most
of the other cases.
It appears that every client I have forces me to change my habits. These
days I have pretty strict contracts.
For example, while I do monthly invoicing I do weekly time sheets. The
time sheets become part of the contract. It is designed strictly to combat
the "You didn't do the work" claim if we end up in court. When they say
"you didn't do the work" I Can turn around and say "Yes, I did, and you
signed it off."
