home (1 PC-card laptop, two PCI-based kid pcs). I'm running all Linksys
gear however - that may have something to do with it.
My father's a heavy traveler and uses hotspots all over the country with his
XP laptop. he's had no problems. However he did upgrade to XP primarily
because his Windows ME-based laptop was having nothing but trouble
connecting wirelessly. ;^)
I'm not changing any permissions however (and I'm not using XP Home) - so I
can't help with the original problem.
