Interesting numbers.
But I really think -- and pray -- that the number will be surprisingly low
in this case.
-- >The first plane hit just prior to 9 a.m. I imagine a significant number
of people are like me and were late to work.
-- > There was an hour between the first plane hitting and the first
building collapse. That's a lot of time to get out of the building. Based on
news reports, it sounds like a lot of people made it to safety.
-- > They are not finding nearly as many bodies as expected and the
hospitals are not as crowded as expected. Again, I think this points to the
idea that most people got out of each building before they collapsed.
-- > Thankfully the Washington plane hit a fairly unoccupied portion of the
Pentagon.

They sent 35,000 body bags to the WTC. (worse case numbers) Also note that
this happened in about an hour.
And so we don't sound completely selfish
Hiroshima and Nagasaki 240,000 this happened in a few seconds.
