Everything from grocery shopping, to buying a TV, stereo,
and if you use Costco or Sams Club.. well there is another
reason.
And for the general reason,
"Well maybe I want to buy a boat someday"
So there for forcing someone to give a reason is not justifiable
for the given fact there are countless number of reasons to
have one if someone wanted one.
Yes the government does have regulations. The SUVs are built by
factory regulations set forth by the Department of Transportation
and probably other offices. But so are the small little miata
and corvettes. Now lets talk about Vette owners who have the
power in those vehicles for speed as well.
Do they need to justify why they need a corvette with that type of
power? Or perhaps a motorcycle? Especially the crotch rockets...
The list can go on and on.. Simply put you have the freedom to choose
which vehicle you wish to purchase and drive. Now you also
have the right to drive dangerously which alot of people do regardless
of the type of vehicle they own.
And if I recall from maybe the original post there was a ban or (potential)
ban for SUVs in France. Well what about Texas? New York?
California? Any place for that matter. Should they be banned in all
states? Oh and don't forget Hawaii....

Why not? If you have a need then it is not an issue. If the number of
CUVs
on the road culd be limited to those who need them lives could be saved
and
accidents lessened. Seems like a good reason to me.

One thing about the government, REGULATION.
