disappearing posts (semi-solved?)

As a result of Mike's work the other day I now get email when a post made on the web interface bounces. Apparently every so often hitting reply to something does not carry the subject over and then the post is rejected for not having a subject. I'll try to check my subject lines and I am sure this is on Mikey's list of stuff to do (right Mike?)
