Of course, it was a few pages deep with a small headline.

Subject: Bush administration wrong again?
I just saw on television that the US State Department is apologizing for
some report they produced that said that terrorism was down last year,
when the facts and figures actually show that it had increased. The
report was meant to bolster support for the 'War On Terror'.
.
When they put out these false documents, don't they think that people in
the American public are going to question them and do their own
investigations, and they will therefore be caught out?
Or do they think that the initial splash in the press is what will
remain in people's minds rather than the fact that they had to retract
the statement?
It's hard to argue with people who claim the Bush Administration is
feeding the most misinformation and outright specious statements to the
public in a long time.
