not to be depressing, but the last person I heard say this did make a
suicide attempt. An unsuccessful, perhaps not very serious attempt, but one
that that got him hospitalized.
Judith, I would urge you to look into local resources. I am sure there are
some even for people with no insurance. Speaking as someone who has had some
serious health issues while uninsured, there is generally *something* out
there, or there has been in most of the places i have lived. Especially if
it's life-threatening.
