Well, they almost had Nukes thanks to the French, but Israel removed
that option from the table in the 80's. Remember that it was not just
American companies providing equipment to Saddam, the French, Germans,
Russians and others were. Even during the 'embargo' that went into
effect after Gulf I. But as with the UN's skimming of the oil for food
program, it's rairly if ever brought up.
