I happened to use IE for about 10 minutes yesterday from inside my
company network behind their firewall, behind my personal firewall and
somehow got some spyware installed (Twaintech, aBetterInternet, etc).  I
noticed that a couple of programs asked for internet access from my
personal firewall.  Luckily I denied them and then ran spybot-S&D with
the most current updates.  It found only a couple of cookies.  No big
deal.  Today I noticed an odd process called alchem.exe in my registry
startup section.  After googling around, I figured out that it is a
trogan.  People recommended a program called "Scan Spyware".  Supposedly
this works because the new spyware trogans use hidden attributes that
Adaware and Spybot don't see.

Did I mention that I hate IE.
