My Uncle Gus, may he rest in peace, wrote this amazing song called "Weeping
for the Mugger."

The words were,

"And they're weeping for the mugger,
with sympathy profound,
they say that he's the real victim,
Not the fellow on the ground."

That's how I feel here. It's an insult to the victims of the bombing to say,
"Well, of course, America is hated everywhere. We (as a country) have been
the big bad bully. We have set things up for our own interest, at the
expense of everyone else. That's why this happened."

That's not an answer, because it lends these attacks a validity they should
not have.

That's why I get upset when I read articles like this.

Yes, we have done some real damage in other parts of the world. I don't
agree with everything our government has done. But that does not excuse such
murder.

That's all I'll say about this. Other than a wish for peace and that we
should find more survivors.
