Um, every picture of Bin Laden shows him living in either a tent or a cave
(which seems appropriate for his mentality, btw -- he's as about as
civilized as a caveman).
Also, Afghanistan was claiming he was under house arrest before this attack,
so I take the rumor/news with a grain of salt.
At the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if the Afghan government turned
Bin Laden over to the U.S. Their country is a shambles. The government
doesn't have a totally strong hold on power. They are poor. They do seem to
acknowledge that even as terrorist attacks go, this one is a bit over the
top. I don't think they want to get the shit bombed out of them over Bin
Laden at this point.
That's assuming the evidence does ultimately point to Bin Laden.
