me some breathing room to make some needed changes and moves. It's
still in the works and going carefully. I've got over a gig of CF-Talk
posts alone to move and I think I'm going to wait on the DB
alterations I had in mind and just transfer the whole thing. The
rewrite of the subscription and signin section is underway with a goal
of
1. unlimited multiple email addresses.
2. each email address can be assigned to one or more lists with
different privliges per list.
3. All lists can be subscribed to at once.
The problem with the site is that I've gotten the old box faster (more
play with the DB) but now Teoma is sending even more bots. Even with
the (newer) CSS setup and less images, there is no less than 18
connections on the server at any one time, over 100,000 requests today
(page views & graphics) and teoma is responsable for a chunk of that
(as is MSN Bot). The stats show 6800 requests per hour. There's a
thread on SES urls and indexing, well the way HoF is being searched, I
think I've gotten all that down pat. :)
