It has brought the people working to rescue the victims together; it has
brought the people who lost or are missing relatives and friends together.
It has made us be more charitable in many ways. It has made us all feel like
Americans, rather than diverse peoples who happen to live in the same
country. In that way it has brought us together.
It has also made us very angry, and that anger is searching for a focus and
a target. We are a people of many opinions (always have been) and we are
searching for the proper response.
These kinds of events always bring out both the best and the worst in
people.
Keep in mind, we are all in this together. Let's not lose sight of that.
