After weighing the pros and cons of purchasing a new (used) vehicle
versus putting in a new motor and re-fitting our current Explorer ... It
was better to refit. Especially since we own her outright and she's
already registered and insured.
We'd already replaced everything else on the truck - brakes, shocks,
water pump, altenator, etc ... All that's left is the trans, motor and
wiring! LOL
In any case - she just left courtesy of AAA (gotta love the premium
service - free towing within 100 miles!) - traveling an hour south of
here to be re-fitted. She just made it too. Lots of gasoline smell and
oil smell coming from her today. Like she knew it was her last day and
she could relax.
So everyone think good thoughts for her safe return - as we are now
vehicle-less.
