If you use Microsoft Office and/or Outlook, there are free templates that can be
downloaded to use for group newsletters - that is if you want to be really
fancy.

Most recipients, however, prefer plain text in mass email, and it requires less
resources to receive and store.  They also have a better chance of getting by
the ever-increasing use of spam filtering which targets HTML email.

It is not really hard to Google for ideas as to how to format, and to
incorporate links to content, thus keeping the newsletter fairly short and
concise - increasing its likelihood of being read and not simply deleted upon
arrival.

Just a suggestion.

Doug

  Good Morning folks...

What would everyone recommend for a Newsletter system? I would like to
implement one into my site and figured I would ask around to see what
everyone likes. Of course open source and CF would be preferred but doesn't
  really matter.

  Thank you,
  Neal Bailey
