I fall into the category of folk that need instrumental most of the time.  I
have a ton of those Solitudes CDs (nature sounds with music), as well as
classical and Native American (Carlos Nakai, Native Flute Ensemble, and
there's a guy named Brule (lil' accent over the 'e') who has a CD called
'Lakota Piano' that I never get tired of).

There's some new age stuff as well that I like.  Tony O'Connor is
amazing...I'd recommend checking out some of his stuff
