I follow the news more than anyone I know...he was actually farther from
religion than most would assume, and yes, I knew/know that...

the maniacs are the jihadists, the insurgents...not saddam, he is the
least of our worries, and was the least of our worries...post war.
pre-war, his stronghold on the psyche of the people was the biggest
problem, the oppression, that was the problem.

and to reply to another, who cares if all those things are failing, and
the army was disintegrating, does that mean we should sit on our heels
and let him go for what he had already done?

I don't think so.

a wrong was righted, and is being righted, slowly and harshly in a
quagmire of problems, but it will get better.
