FL is VERY hot.
FL has a LOT of VERY bad drivers, all over the state.
FL has quite the horrible education system, but as I know that you guys
don't want kids, not a big issue
FL has Governor Duh (aka Jeb)
FL is pretty GOP slanted
FL is getting very crowded, A LOT of unchecked urban sprawl in the Central
Florida area
Did I mention that FL was hot?
By hot I mean that it is more than uncomfortable to do anything outside
during the summer. It's just blisteringly hot. Especially this summer, for
some reason.
Salaries in FL are lower than most other places due to the service economy.
BUT, to answer your question:
Look at the Fort Walton Beach / Destin area. IMHO the most beautiful beaches
in the state with far less people (but a little more pricey). Also take a
look at some of the panhandle regions (Tallahassee, Monticello, Panama City,
Pensacola) as the heat isn't _as_ bad and they aren't as populous.

Subject: Speaking of taxes ...
Florida has no state taxes.
Besides that - where would the best place to live in Florida be?
If one wanted to live in Florida.
With access to beautiful beaches ...
Fabulous fishing ...
Year round sun ...
Some of you have experience with living in Florida ... Since I am taking
a survey for purely statisical reasons only - I'd love any input :)
Cheers,
Erika
