Hollywood Bowl offered nose bleed seats for about $1-3 each. The sound was
just as good up there and the ability to listen to wonderful music and gaze
at the stars in the sky was absolute heaven. You might want to see whether
the local concert hall/outdoor ampitheater does something similar.

No, it's not a joke. One of the things I definitely want to do when I have
some spare cash and time is to go to more classical concerts. Getting to
see the Pops for free ,sans the crowd, must be a treat indeed.
