I read an article today about what a defining moment this is for the
so-called slacker generation. This is a wake up call. It will engender a
greater sense of civic responsibility and get them thinking beyond what they
can buy at the mall. Lots of kids are volunteering for the military.
I'm in a wait and see mode on that one.
