Funny. I do find a lot of the list messages end up in the Spam folder.
Dos this happen to you?

gmail is very good for this list. I really like the threading logic. I

did have to laugh however when it matched up two "Hi I am new to this

list" emails from different lists, I guess because of the subjects :)

What I find on the sending mail to the HoF list issue is that my

responses generally do appear in the thread immediately. Sometimes

however gmail hangs a bit or even tells me to try re-sending in a few

seconds. When this happens the thread is not always instantly updated,

although the reply does appear in sent mail. I was thinking my

bandwidth might be an issue but I have had the same thing happen up

the street at the multimedia lab, which is very very broadband.  Like

I said, I think they are working on some server capacity issues. Or

perhaps the issues are regional? I have not heard anyone else complain

about this.

I am still dialup because the rinky-dink telecomm my office mate

picked to save a few bucks told me it would be seven to ten business

days for my DSL order  for about six months before I finally told them

not to worry about it any more. By then I was deciding that I needed

more space anyway and more control over that space (as well as its

infrastructure). I am going to look at a place closer to my house;

plan B is to go back to the home office for now. We *are* in a bigger

house now than we were.

Dana

Eeek!  Dialup!  How 1998!!! :-) Can't get broadband where you're at?

Myself, I am finding that changing my CF-Community email over to GMail

allows me to participate MUCH easier than I used to before I made the

change.  I don't have to read every thread and email, and having them

all listed on one page makes it SO EASY.  I am liking the Gmail!!! :-)
