Well if the objective is to provide an overall view of growth,
progress, etc. then I'd say yea, filtering out the spikes is probably
not a bad idea. Nothing else really springs to mind for me, although
at that point I'd have to say it's purely a matter of personal
opinion. I suppose some folks might want to see the spikes.
