Won,
Reboot the machine and go into the BIOS. Check the temps of the CPU in the
"PC HEALTH" menu area.
Second, pop open the case and feel the RAM and Heatsinks... Are they hot?
Are they warm?
Your PC should not depend on the windows to be open to run well. I too am
running dual AMD 2100+ processors and never have a heat problem...
Motherboard zapped by lightning is a different story :-)
The other thing that can cause the hangs is faulty hard drive, bad RAM, and
heat. Check and make sure everything sounds good and that nothing is too
warm to the touch. Then report back.
