What I'm saying is that it is not a weakness. I don't know what the best
response to this situation actually is, but without some discussion and
objections to bad ideas, no one may ever find the best solution. I just
want a solution that won't perpetuate the problem and it seems that we
aren't headed in that direction.
Besides, if we want to show people around the world that we really aren't
as evil and oppressive as people say, can we do that by showing a united
front? Some of the people who hate us hate us because our people don't
object to people in their countries being killed. That's how they can say
that we are all evil, not just some of us. Well, maybe it's time that we
showed them that some of us object to that.
I don't want innocent people killed and if I don't say that, it seems like
I don't object to it. I'm not going to say that I agree with a plan that
kills innocent people because it is my American duty to do so. It's my
American duty to say I object if I object.
