"Hello,
Reading this preview I was a bit puzzled. Were you previewing the game? Or
writing about some fantasy dating experience you had with the computer game
characters??
"She's a very effective character, but women like her usually make me run to the
other side of the room, so I quickly switched characters after trying out her
powers. "
"You almost had with your southern accent (I giggled internally every time you
called me "sugah"), but you're much too popular with the other boys for me to
dig you. "
"No wonder I was drawn to you. Dallas Friday and Magma...I swear Activision is
trying to break my heart. "
I...just thought on some level that it was both sad and a bit odd for a game
preview. How the characters were represented graphically in the game, what
powers they had and how they brought those to bear during combat would have been
more useful information to me than a reviewer's relationship fantasies about the
fictional game characters.
For example, how does Rogue steal her opponent's powers? How does this affect
gameplay while playing rogue? Can she steal 'super' powered villains' powers?
What's with the adolescent "I love Magma" stuff???"
Lol..I'm sure I'm going to get flamed for this over at Gamespy ;-)
Here's the preview I was talking about <HYPERLINK
