And we have sent aid packages to families of the Taliban and al Qaeda
in Afghanistan. We have been offering buckets of cash to people in
Iraq who fight against and turn in our opponents. There's a fine line
between calling something funding terrorism vs. providing aid to
families of war. In both cases the aid is being given by a government
to people for siding with an ideological cause. The words we use to
describe it are bias.

The US gave Iraq the WMD to attack the Kurds. They even asked the US
representative what our response would be and we gave tacit approval.
Colin Powell specifically recomended that the US _NOT_ back and become
a partner in a multinational treaty against genocide.

Saddam, and Iraq, may have investigated supporting al Qaeda but
evidence shows that such meetings were fruitless. And I don't deny
that they supported terrorism. But the simple truth is that IRAQ DID
NOT ATTACK US. Iraq was not responsible for 9/11.

IMHO, the policy of pre-emptive war is as dangerous as the empty lies
that "justified" Hitler spreading across Europe to supposedly liberate
the Germans oppressed in other countries after WWI.
