I thought that, at least, "God of War" would be a cross-platform title (it's
looking un-freakin-believably sweet on the PS2).
Often it's the swan song of a system that produces some of the greatest
games. I keep up with the PS2 more, but there are many new non-sequel games
that are looking to send the old-girl off in style: "God of War", "Kill all
Humans", a surprise release from OddWorld Inhabitants, Killzone, etc. The
sequels may over shadow them - I can't believe how good "Prince of Persia
2" is looking considering that I never would have thought they could improve
on the first game and both Ratchet and Clank and Jak will see third (and
reportedly final) entries in the series.
At least some of the those original titles should be showing up the XBox as
well. We're also seeing a lot more cross-platform action from Nintendo
("Viewtiful Joe" one and two have both been confirmed for PS2) - the XBox
should get some loving from that quarter I'd expect.

Which makes me wonder what new games are going to launch in 2005..after
HALO2,Fable, BC, Forza Motorsports, Doom 3 on Xbox, Far Cry Instincts on
Xbox...there aren't any killer titles lined up for 2005. most of the big
names
are due out by end of this year.
