*As a disclaimer let me start of by saying that I neither support the war
nor denounce it. Essentially, I am unsure. The reasons for going to war
are many and valid, but I do see that there might have been a misstep in
how we entered it. The misstep mostly being that we went in without full
UN support.
And although I can't definitively write for others, I think the two above
paragraph really illustrates why some people have voiced their
displeasure. The author writes how none of the soldiers were told that the
reason to go into Iraq were to find WMD or avenge 9/11 to find
terrorist. However, Bush makes many references to those two reasons for
going in. It is not unfair for the American public to deduce that this is
why Bush was taking us in. That is essentially the problem a lot of people
have. You have a acting President that tells his people one thing and the
military is in Iraq for another, albeit still a worthwhile cause.
So what does that mean. Essentially the American public is unhappy with
how the President treated them, other Americans. Not that President Bush
decided to mount an offensive campaign against foreigners.
I'm open to debate on this subject, more so then other issues, because,
like I wrote in the beginning, I'm on the fence about this one.
