I know that, you know that, but my mom sure doesn't know that, and the 
majority of todays Internet users don't know that.

The thing to remember, Netscape and IE aren't the Internet, they are 
clients. Windows 95 gave windows users Dial up networking and plug and 
play. This let them buy a modem and easily install it, and easily connect 
to an isp. Then they could get Mosaic or Netscape.

What it brought was an easy to use and configure system to connect. People 
didn't have to understand TCP/IP or PPP all they had to do was click the 
wizard and they were on the Internet. That is what MS did for the Internet 
and the Computer industry

I still use Netscape, and I still use Eudora, why, security, I still 
haven't send a major bug that has directly effected both of these.
