Well, Marino has been accused of being super competitive. I wish I could
remember the interview. I think it was Bob Costas asking a WR who recently
was traded from the Fins to another team. They asked the WR what the
biggest difference between catching passes from another QB was. While most
of us were waiting for an answer like "I miss the quick release" or
something along those lines, his half-joking answer was "Well, I don't get
yelled at in the huddle when I drop a pass now."
He was probably the best QB in the game. Which begs the question, "If QB
is the most important position in the game, then why couldn't the best QB
in the history of the NFL win it all?"
