Um, doesn't IIS come with 2k? You just have to install it from the disk. Unless, of course, you just REALLY want pws. -----Original Message----- From: William Swain [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, September 26, 2001 8:01 AM To: CF-Community Subject: RE: PWS & W2k Yes, as far as I know it does. It should be on the w2k disk but I don't think it's installed by default. You will have to install it off the disk yourself HTH Will -----Original Message----- From: Adkins, Randy [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 26 September 2001 12:51 To: CF-Community Subject: PWS & W2k Does anyone know if PWS can run under Windows 2000? And if so, where can I get Personal Web Server? The one I have is for Windows 95 and during the setup for Windows 2000 it states it will only work for Windows 95 but I know it works in 98, just not Windows 2000. I have Windows 2000 Professional. Are you saying that you cannot "create" a DB or that you cannot get a DB to be recognised via ODBC? Basically it is the same as setting up a CF Datasource except that for login you use "sa" (standard SQL7 Login - SQL2000 usually asks you to change it.) To do it by the CF Administrator - make sure you place (local) in the server info; HTH Neil 'I really must buy a watch, but I just cant find the time.' <!------------------------------ Neil Clark Senior Web Applications Engineer ColdFusion / Spectra / Sitespring Macromedia Alliance Partner MCB Digital Limited [T]: 020 8941 3232 [F]: 020 8941 4333 [M]: 07719 448 227 [E]: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [www] www.fluidik.com --------------------------------> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Get the mailserver that powers this list at http://www.coolfusion.com Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists
