I will take it to mean that the public is not happy with the EU so far. Is
there a let's get rid of it attitude, let's wait attitude, or we don't care
attitude? As far as I know all the countries in the EU are worse off for
being part of it and several are in violation of the EU rate policy. The
name of the rate escapes me but in the US it's called the Federal Funds
rate. The country in Europe that has been able to best navigate the global
recession is England and that is because they were able to take a more
proactive action and was able to lower/raise rates since they did not join
the EU.
