You've obviously never been fishin' for crappie or bream or bluegill or
sunnies. :-)

My cousins have a house on the Lake of the Ozarks, but had some bad luck
this summer. Their tram's cable snapped, and they fell 100+ ft into the
lake. Fortunately they all lived. Yikes.

I knew that about the fishing boats, but I still think it is funny. Also,
how often do you need all 4 live wells?

There is very intense competition during those tournaments. On smaller sized
lakes, its not uncommon for several people to be gunning for your "honey
hole". A fast boat is essential for getting their first.

Another more obvious reason would be fishing time. The shorter amount of
time it takes for you to get from your fishing spot to the weigh in, the
longer you can stay at your hole, the better chance you have of catching
fish.

My family owns a house on the Lake of the Ozarks and we just had this
discussion the other day while witnessing several fishin boats smoking down
the lake :)
