Spent most of today at the dentist. Had a temporary crown put on, got
a full set of ex-rays, scheduled apts. for the deep cleanings I need
(and the permanent crown). It's the upper-left incisor that's been
broken for about as long as I've been working with CF (~7 yrs) so I'm
glad to finally be having it fixed, so I won't be so fugly anymore...
Came home, went up to the office. Picked up some Taco Bell on the way
(which I usually regret, especially with my ulcer). They told me to
wait 30 minutes before eating anything, and it'd been an hour and a
half and it was soft food, but the crown promptly fell out in the
middle of my soft-taco supreme. So I took it back to the dentist who
said not only had it fallen out, the acrylic crown had essentially
shattered. I think it might have been partly because I have small
teeth (I'm only 5'3" so there's not much big about me... not much that
is :) -- I can tell that the replacement is thicker than the first
one.
