AFAIK, because SQL Server requires NT/2k, you NEED to be in Windows to
access it

Personally, I pcAnywhere to a machine "near" to the server and use
Enterprise Manager from there - it makes it a lot faster, but you're stuck
with the screen res of the remote machine, and transferring the copy/paste
buffer can be a little annoying

Then again, I use RDS a LOT more than I use Ent Manager
