  This isn't necessarily a bigoted act. There are legitimate reasons why
  a person might not want to acknowledge or honor the state of Israel
  which don't necessarily have anything to do with his being intolerant
  to the opinions of others or of those outside his own culture. He may
  be a bigot, but the fact that he did this doesn't prove that. It's
  like calling anyone who might have protested european settlement of
  the Americas a bigot because they were intolerant of the whites'
  belief that it was okay for them to kill and enslave blacks and
  indians.
