Subject: wife had a baby :)
Hey all...
thanks for all of the well wishes. we left the house sunday
(yesterday) at around 9:25 am AZ time...got to the hospital at around
10:00...and Madeleine Hope made her way into the world at 10:58 am...a
happy, healthy, and relatively large girl (8 lb 12 oz). So we were
actually pretty close to one o' them there car births :)
We got discharged today at noon, which was nice...this is our 2nd
child, and we were in the hospital for 5 days with our first on
account of the fact that she was jaundiced. It was nerve-wracking, so
getting discharged right away was very nice.
The wife went the natural route...which is an amazing thing (she did
our first natural as well). Knowing that the option of an epidural is
there...or -some- sort of pain relief...but having made the choice to
go natural and sticking with it through the pain is ...once again,
amazing. She'll never know how much I respect her for that (I've told
her...but the words really just aren't there).
Will have a nicer 'album' put together soon, hopefully...but as
requested by Mr. Churvis... a prelimiary stat dump can be seen at
http://130.13.124.245:6699/maddy/
Thanks again to all. Gonna go sit with the wife and kids.

Marta was watching the football game with me when she said,
"You know, most of these sports are based on the idea of one group
protecting its territory from invasion by another group."
"Yeah," I said, trying not to laugh. Girls are funny.
