Google Toolbar can be installed (just did it).

How to install on .10PR
0.9.0.28 does work with .10PR - download the .xpi file, open it with WinZip
and extract the install.rdf file. Edit install.rdf and change the maxVersion
to .10 and replace install.rdf in the .xpi file. You can now install
googlebar on Firefox .10PR!

What this doesn't tell you is that you have to go into Options/General and
allow web sites to install software, then allow your computer to install.
Also the file saves as a .php, save it as either .xpi or .zip.  Before you
install, remember to rename it to a .xpi.  You have to browse to it within
Firefox to install it and choose to let Firefox itself open the file.
