resident of Kansas, Fred Phelps is the basically the crazy old man
sitting on the front porch of the entire state. He's nuts, he's
tenacious, and he's the most unadulterated picture of pure evil you will

It's an interesting read - I found it well-written and engaging, even if
its subject matter is revolting. I've also been to the Westboro Baptist
Church in Topeka - didn't go in, but got a picture of a friend giving a
tentative "thumbs-up" next to a "God Hates Fags" banner. He refused to
urinate on the building, though.
