independent display mode (which is supported by pretty much any modern
card).
The newer cards ever solve the primary overlay issues which plague video and
TV applications.

I'd go with 2 separate video cards, otherwise you'll get all sorts of
issues where some cars think that the primary desktop is across both
screens
You don't know how annoying it is to have a start bar that spreads
across monitors, and when you click Maximize, the window spreads
PCI video cards are so cheap that you can fit several without breaking $100
