Nope - this is a major policy shift.  Previous to this statement the
Germans said that under "no circumstances" would they send troops to
Iraq.  Now they say they'll make that decison in light of "other
developements".  Diplomatically, that's crystal clear and the State
Department knows that.

My last statement is a fact:

1.) According the the International Monetary Fund, the Congressional
Budget Office, and others, the US is heading towards bankruptcy.
Neither candidate has been talking much about that, but Mr. Kerry has
a record of breaking with his party to support a balanced budget and
he's openly supported "pay-go" rules.

Mr. Bush has borrowed, borrowed, borrowed.  And then borrowed more.

2.) According to major world polls the US's image has never been
worse; 80% negative in Europe, 90% in the middle east and 70% in Asia.

So, under Mr. Bush, we're going bankrupt and the World doesn't respect us.
