We need a long-range strategy to replace internal combustion engines. Fix the fuel supply problem and the pollution and greenhouse gas problems at the same time. I like the idea of fuel cells, even the ones that extract hyrdrogen from gasonline. At least we wouldn't be burning the gas and pumping out all the chemicals into the air.
