If you remain vague enough, however, you just might trick enough people into buying your fluff, without revealing any real substance (because none may exist in the first place). Since your opponent is almost surely being just as vague, there's no one around to call you on it either!

Agreed. I want to hear someone explain that to John Kerry and have him respond with what he would do differently than the President. And I want the President to respond with his plan to win the fight and bring peace, stability, and freedom to Iraq (his stated goals for the country). One of these two is going to be President and I think we all deserve to hear from them what they plan to do.
