Clark was trying to sell a book that contradicts
everything he's said publicly.
O'Neil's story was a joke. He's pissed he got fired.

Gen Zinni is the only credible source you use.
According to Gen Tommy Franks and Lt. Gen. Michael
DeLong, Zinni's method was wrong. Zinni wanted to go
in with 500,000 troops and Franks felt a smaller force
could go in and get the job done.
Problem with Franks plan was it worked too well. There
was no surrender or an official end of the war. People
just ran and hid.
If we used Zinni's method we'd have been much more of
an occupying force and that might have caused even
more resistance.
Basically I think both plans would have produced the
same effect.
As for Fallujah, we didn't level it because the
Iraqi's asked us not to. They wanted to handle it
using Iraqis, thinking if it were Iraqi against Iraqi
they'd stop fighting.
