Subject: Browser stats...

I've just been whiling away my Sunday afternoon compiling traffic reports
for the sites that we own and as an observation, over the last couple of
months I've seen Firefox go from less than 1% market share in terms of
browser visits to a range of sites to an average of just over 10% market
share.... It seems as a gold release of Firefox 1 beckons that the take up
is increasing...

I guess some of the sites that we run would fall into the 'early adopter'
bracket as they are tech sites but I'm seeing this across the board with the
non-tech sites averaging out at about 8% market share...

It looks to me like IE 5.5 and below have in the same period almost
disappeared and IE6 has lost a little bit of ground but not much to
illustrate, on the 'early adopter' site that has seen the most change, IE5.x
has dropped from about 15% to 2 % share whilst Firefox has gone from 5% to
nearly 19% in the same time...

No more than three months ago I could quite confidently stated that 95%+
traffic to our sites was IE based but now, it's more like 75%... I would
guess everyone else is seeing the same sort of figures but I thought I'd ask
just to see how far from the 'norm' my numbers seem to be...
