I just wanted to apologize to anyone I might have offended in this
thread...

What I'd meant to say was: regardless of what I may think about the
creation of the Israeli state, there are people who believe this
description to be more or less accurate. That being the case, I think
it's possible (however unlikely any person may believe it to be) that
a person can have convictions about their beliefs regarding the state
of Israel without being abjectly prejudiced against jews. I don't
think it helps to blanketly state that someone is a bigot without
providing significant in-context evidence. Personally I think it only
really serves to deepen / widen / strengthen the hate people have for
each other.

Your mileage may vary.

I realize I was a bit wound up at the time and didn't express this at
all clearly (and my being wound up had nothing to do with the list or
anyone on it -- it was just the state I was in at the time). So I felt
in retrospect it deserved an apology and a clarification.
