diplomacy shouldn't be "Can we blow shit up with you? No? Okay, we'll
just do it without you."
We are a world power, no doubt about it. But are we a world dominator
or a world partner? That's the difference I see him making.
Bush tries to say it's letting Iran veto a defense decision and that's
just silly. But similarly, one of the really big reasons why we
haven't threaten N. Korea militarily is because S. Korea has a
"sunshine policy" with N. Korea, trying to get them to soften up and
we're respecting that. So even Bush isn't above working with other
countries to determine our defense approach, he's just inconsistent
about it.
