There was a special 'Wired' supplement for subscribers a few weeks+/- ago 
that explained in great detail, without being deadly boring, the whole 
wireless thing.  I, as a complete novice when it comes to wireless, found 
it to be very enlightening.

I would snail mail it to you, but I am the middle of a move right now, and 
it may be lost forever.  I am 99% sure that it was called 'UnWired'.
